Omriss is a character based study about grief and addiction, set against the isolating and desolate landscape of Norway. Outline shows the agonizing experience of losing someone, as we follow a young woman spiraling into darkness following the death of her mother.
I had the pleasure to work with Anna Fredrikke Bjerke on her newest short film Omriss. The short is about grief and addiction so we went with a natural but still stylized grade. By extraction and using the natural tone and tint of the scene and using this as the look, we accomplished a very suiting and natural look. I mainly focused on using the blue/cyan tint when the sun has just went down to obtain the outdoor look. I balanced this out by using the varm and reddish tone to create a nice contrast to the outdoor scenes. The main goal was to let the story and acting tell the story with the grade helping to tell the emotions.
